Into Film is the UK’s leading charity for film in education. Working in partnership with the BFI and The National Lottery, they have produced a free course designed for teachers of students aged 11-16 which will equip you with the skills to seamlessly incorporate filmmaking projects into your lessons. Whatever subject you teach – from chemistry to modern languages or geography to art – you will learn simple strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of any curriculum topic.

You’ll be guided through the entire filmmaking process and explore how each stage can support and deepen curriculum attainment. You’ll also discover tips and tricks to turn your films into mini multi-shot masterpieces, from using simple editing strategies to adding your own sound effects.

Throughout the course, you’ll see youth-made examples of curricular films to inspire your initial projects and get the chance to share your learning experiences with fellow educators. You’ll also have exclusive access to ready-to-deliver lesson resources to help you to bring the power of filmmaking into your classroom.

This course also offers a free live webinar – with a chance to ask questions to filmmaking experts, share ideas and access exclusive additional content, including further activity ideas and accompanying activity sheets, not available as part of the course.
