Meet the Satori Education team

Satori edtech consultant Joe Basketts

Joe Basketts

CEO

Joe believes strongly  in the transformative power of edtech when it comes to teaching and learning – and he ensures every school and leader Satori Education supports can tap into this resource.

Thanks to years of experience as a primary school teacher and education adviser, Joe has a strong appreciation for how edtech can bring learning to life for pupils. With the right kind of tech, students can learn about a topic by getting creative, rather than passively consuming information.

While there are many benefits to be gained, Joe understands every step that leaders will need to tread to optimise their school’s edtech. He helps schools to anticipate challenges and avoid pitfalls.

Ultimately, Joe’s approach is rooted in how he can best facilitate school leadership and staff to confidently take ownership of their edtech strategy.

Whether as a consultant or trainer/coach, Joe empowers educational professionals with the skills, knowledge and strategic insight to reach their edtech goals.

Rachel Tilden-Walker

Senior Consultant

Rachel is an experienced teacher, educational leader and edtech specialist with a passion for facilitating effective change management in schools.

Having led ambitious changes in her own school, Rachel has a strong appreciation for how SLTs and teachers are often tasked with adapting to new initiatives without adequate support to ensure change sticks.

Rachel works with schools to implement strategic, long-lasting change to their edtech. Drawing from a strengths-based coaching approach, Rachel facilitates growth in the people she works by empowering staff to learn and adapt in whatever way work works best for them.

By focusing on how edtech can help teachers in the classroom, Rachel guides schools in enabling staff to lead the way with adopting new edtech through colleague mentorship and teamwork.

For Rachel, effective change management is similar to good teaching; give people what they need and then try and get out of the way of the learning!
